Troutline CDC Dressing Gel is made based on CDC natural oil. This oil from duck CDC glands is pasteurised to last very long time and to not loose the natural properties. We consider it the proper dressing for dry flies to assure a long floating time.
If the CDC paste is fantastic for medium and large flies, then the CDC gel is what we recommend for small and very small delicate dry flies. Delivered in bottles of 10-11ml
How to use the Troutline CDC Dressing Gel on your dry flies:
- add a tinny drop of oil on your fingers tips
- rubb as much as possible the fly to be sure that it is penetrating well the hackle, wing and the body
- do not overload the fly with it
- if the fly is wet and dirty with fish slime wash the slime, dry the fly with amadou and then apply the CDC gel
- cast your fly and fish!

Ordered in in winter time because I lost my Loon bottle. I used your floatant several times . The flies float great, the water repellent effect lasts long time.
