The Troutline Tactical PT Peeping Caddis Jig Nymph is a realistic and effective caddis larva imitation, designed to suggest a peeping caddis emerging from its protective case.
The body is made with pheasant tail barbs, carefully used to imitate the brown case of the caddis larva. Their natural colour, fine segmentation and slightly irregular texture create a very convincing impression of the small wood fragments and organic debris that caddis larvae use to build their tube-shaped homes.
Tied on a jig hook, this fly fishes close to the bottom with excellent stability and fewer snags. It is especially useful in rivers where caddis larvae are an important food source for trout and grayling. The natural brown tones make it a very good choice for clear water, pressured fish and technical nymphing.
