Troutline Tactical GRHE Nymph is a classic and highly effective fly for trout and grayling. After years of fishing with this famous pattern, we decided to create our own version.
The back is coated with UV resin to increase the lifespan of the fly. The tail is made of partridge, which gives a more natural look, closer to the structure of real insect tails. We also added partridge barbs as legs to create extra movement in the water. The result is a great searching pattern with a natural buggy look and plenty of movement.
This nymph works well in many types of rivers, from slow glides to faster currents. The hare’s ear style body gives a natural texture in the water, while the gold rib adds durability and a small point of attraction. It is a very good searching pattern when you are not sure what the fish are eating.
