When fish are careful with what they eat small black nymphs seems to be a great option. Our PT Black colored nymph with green hot spot and one turn of black CDC as hackle for extra movement is a killer in these situations!
When and how to fish it:
- good fly for fishing in muddy waters because black color gives a better contrast
- easy to notice by fish due to black and green color combination
- nymph that work in rivers with granite and sandstone type of gravel with lots of insects and aquatic plants
- we recommend to be played lightly and to jig the fly to induce the attack
- dead drifting technique is extremely efficient for this fly
- size #14 has 3mm tungsten bead
- size #16 has a 2.5mm tungsten bead
