Squirrel hair is very popular for tying bodies and to make dubbing or even hackle for some type of european flies. Superb pigmented, these dense and shinny squirrel skin pelts fur are one of the most used material by fly tiers. We provide a high quality tanned skin pelts ( no smell and no dirt like on air dried pieces) where the back fur is well preserved.
Practically you can do anything you need from tailing to wings, hackle and legs for all kind of flies!
- Each bag contain a piece of back squirrel pelt in size aprox 5x5cm.

What you can do with squirrel pelts:
-guard fur is good or making tails or for making hackle if you fix it in dubbing loop
-fur and guard fur mixed together are excellent dubbing for all kind of flies
-you can cut the skin pieces in strips to make zonkers
-you can cut the skins ( cross cut) to make strips for wrapping and making bodies for leeches and all kind of streamers
