Troutline Nutria Classic Pelts for Fly Tying are selected from mature raised animals. The skins are tanned and these classic pelts are perfect for making bodies with under fur * nymphs, wet flies and dry flies in the same time ), tails with guard hair or small streamers. The length of guard hair is up to 7cm and under fur is very dense and great for dry flies in particular. The guard fibers have a special structure - narrowest at the base, very mobile in the water and hollow and very shinny.
- Our pelts are tanned and have the following sizes 5cmx5cm.
- For small streamers we advice to cut in narrow strips and not in parallel strips, will work better in water in this way!
- For dubbing pinch the underfur, is easy and fast
- For tailing - guard hair is perfect
