Macaw tail feathers have a rich blue color in stupefacient and subtle iridescent tones. Blue central tail feather have metallic sparkles on main side and on the other side is an metallic olive-gold . These feather are very rare to find and discontinue. We provide 2.5cm of stem feather from central area - plenty of barbs to make fantastic bodies for dry flies, wet and nymphs too.

Very good quality. No damaged barbs. I just love to use macaw instead of tinsel/wire on many patterns. Makes the body more 3D if that makes any sense hehe. Fast delivery as always and love the zip lock bags. Too many manufacturers use bad packaging with too hard plastic bags that tends to tear. Or even worse, glue seal. Just love 'em! When I received the segment I was a little disappointed. I saw that small stem of 3cm and I was thinking how costly is this product. |Then I start tying and I noticed that are plenty of barbs to make bodies. I tied over 40 flies and there is enough to tie another 40-50 pcs. TIn the end , the cost is not so big, in fact is quite ok if you take in consideration how difficult is to find these feathers .Rating
