All the feathers are selected only from neck and back area for Grey Partridge. Every fly tier know that these feathers are one of the most used feathers for wet flies and nymph. The special colors, how the grey and black are spread in spots on these fine and delicate barbs is unique. Partridge birds became to be rare and rare from a year to another. High pressure of agriculture on natural habits decrease the number of them. and for this reason is very difficult to find wild birds.
