Troutline Competition San Juan Red Jig Worm BL represent an alternative at the squirmy wormy flies which are banned in fly fishing competitions. This version of worm is tied based on old pattern called San Juan Worm but is made with a special type of chenille which have a core that is extremely mobile in water.
Based on feedback received from competitors, this fly seems to be more efficient compared with almost classic squirmy wormy version
Fishing recommendation:
- to be used in high waters like those when is raining or snow is melting
- is efficient after short and strong rains when water get muddy
- is efficient in deep pools
The flies are tied on jig hooks in size #12, 14 and 16 with beads of 4mm, 3.5mm and 3.0mm tungsten.
