Troutline Classic Alexandra Wet Fly is our version of one of the most famous traditional wet flies, a classic attractor pattern with a long history in trout fishing. Known in the past as Lady of the Lake, the Alexandra became popular because of its bright silver body, dark wing profile and strong peacock shine, elements that make it visible and attractive under the water surface.
This fly does not imitate one single insect. It works more as an attractor wet fly and can suggest small fry, drowned insects or other small aquatic prey. The silver body gives flash and visibility, while the peacock wing adds natural iridescence and movement. This combination makes the Alexandra a very good choice when fish are active, curious or willing to chase.
Troutline Classic Alexandra Wet Fly can be fished in lakes, reservoirs and rivers, either as a single wet fly or as part of a traditional wet fly team. It is especially useful when you need a classic pattern with more visibility than a natural wet fly, but still with an elegant and proven profile.
