These Partridge skins (Perdix Perdix) are from wild game birds only. They are not from birds raised in farms or cages! This is important because a game bird (wild bird ) provides the best feathers you can find. A partridge bird has more grey feathers if the winter is longer. Brownish and dark colored feathers are from birds raised in cages or from birds where winter is short without snow.
Is well known that in central Europe and in East Europe we have long winters with low temperature and lot of snow. That means high density of feathers and beautiful pigmentation.
We are proud to offer the most beautiful feathers that a fly tier can find. The colors are nice and vivid, the barbs are perfect pigmented and the elasticity of the feathers are exactly like should be. For a fly tier , these feathers, are a must have fly tying material for making spiders, wet flies, nymphs and even dry flies.

These skins are excellent quality, so much so I've bought quite a few so I don't run out. Well prepared and clean skins and excellent feather quality is the best I have seen, very high density and perfect for smaller patterns, especially North Country Spiders etc.Rating
