Natural Grey Selected Partridge Feathers

Partridge birds are rare from year to year. We are lucky to receive a few skins each Winter from local hunters. For this reason we pay a lot of attention when we have to prepare the skins and select the feathers. Based on that, we are proud to offer to all tiers the best selection of partridge feathers that you can find : Troutline Natural Grey Selected Partridge.
All these feathers are hand selected only. We known very well how important are these feathers and which feathers are good for wet flies, or lake flies, for nymphs or Tenkara flies. We tie a lot of flies and for this reason we have a great experience.

Tying details:

• perfect for classic wet hackled flies
• are used for making one turn in front of the dry hackle at March Brown dry flies
• are used for tying emerger flies
• perfect for tying legs for nymphs

Tying tips:

• for sparse tying just take our the barbs from one side of the feather
• for small flies fix the feather from the tip
• for medium aand large flies fix from the base of the stem
• for the perfect hackle take in consideration the natural curve of the feather's stem

Packing details:

• all feathers are from came birds ( wild hunted birds)
• all feathers are from Winter birds, when the birds have very nice feathers, dense and beautiful colored
• this selection contain only feathers from neck , head and shoulder areas,  only grey hackled feathers
• all feathers are one by one selected and one by one hand cleaned by puff from the base of the stem
