Hanak H430 BL Competition Jig Eagle is a barbless jig hook designed for modern nymph patterns, especially Euro nymphs, jig nymphs and competition-style flies. It has a medium wire construction, black nickel finish and an extra-long needle point with a slightly bent-in shape for secure penetration and good fish holding.
The jig shape works very well with slotted tungsten beads, helping the fly swim with the hook point up and reducing the risk of snagging on the bottom. The standard shank and wide gape offer enough room for compact nymph bodies while keeping good hooking properties, even on smaller sizes.
A very good choice for tying perdigons, pheasant tail jig nymphs, hare’s ear jig nymphs, caddis larvae and other tactical flies for trout and grayling.
