Fly Tying Feathers

Fly tying feathers are essential materials for creating movement, flotation, natural silhouettes and realistic details in artificial flies. At Trout Line, you will find CDC feathers, rooster capes and saddles, hen feathers, hackle packs, stripped quills, pheasant feathers, partridge, duck, goose, peacock, marabou, guinea, turkey, Coq de Leon and other selected natural feathers for tying nymphs, dry flies, emergers, wet flies and streamers.

Each feather type has a specific role at the tying bench. CDC feathers are widely used for dry flies and emergers because they help create delicate, floating profiles. Rooster hackle is important for dry flies, while hen, partridge and soft hackle feathers add movement to wet flies, nymph collars and emergers. Pheasant tail fibres, peacock herl, duck fibres, goose biots, marabou and Coq de Leon are classic materials used in both traditional and modern fly patterns.

This category is designed for fly tiers who need reliable feathers for natural movement, colour, texture and practical tying control. Based in Europe and also known by many customers as Troutline, Trout Line offers a wide selection of fly tying feathers, selected packs, loose feathers, capes and saddles with delivery options across Europe and worldwide.
