These Iris nymphs are great nymph for fishing trout and grayling from early season and late autumn. The idea behind of this nymph: to obtain a super fast sinking model like the Spanish Perdigon but with a little movement to be used in small and slow rivers too. CDC added gives enough movement to these flies without looking fast sinking abilities.

How to choose the colors:
- cream, yellow and olive are for very clear waters with light colored rocks and gravel
- brown, dark olive are all around colors
- black is good for dark rivers with dark colored stones and algae or for muddy colors
- purple and blue works for cold rivers with dark rocks and algae
- sparkle colors like green, purple and rainbow are good stimulators type of flies
