Demmon Competition D400 BL is a beautiful fly hook with long tip slightly curved inside and barbless developed for catch and release.
Is a prefect hook for dry fly fishing or for very light nymphing. The hook is dedicated for light fishing, for small and medium sized fish. Strong fish can unbend the hook because the wire is light sized.

The gape length and bite width are perfect for dries. I use these in size 14 and 16 mostly for small CDC Sedge patterns - rarely do I miss a fish. Super sharp and a extremely thin, sharp point - long enough bite that it sinks most every time on rising fish.Rating

I like this hook because the bend is round is fits perfectly for my wet flies. Is a kind of dry fly hook but I prefer the Maruto D04 for my dries. I tied a few sedge flies and the proportions are ok. But I like more for my spiders and my simple and classic wet flies! (Posted on 1/6/2017)Rating
