We consider this model the "racing nymph" because it is super efficient for trout and grayling in fast and medium flowing rivers. Perdigon flies are efficient but high fishing pressure with these nymphs educated our trout and grayling. Tying more realistic flies seems to be on the fish taste. RS model is one of those models with high efficiency rate!
