Sedgehogs are fantastic flies used for fishing big trout especially on lakes. When the sedge flies are hatching then the fly should be fished static. In some conditions these flies are practically stimulator and can be fished in team with others as top fly. To induce the attack of the fish, these flies are best retrieved with short pulls to represent the characteristic skittering motion of the natural sedge across the water surface.
The wing is made based on dark natural deer hair combined with layers of natural grey CDC feathers!
