Our strung saddle hackle are the finest hackle for tying average size fresh water streamers, steelhead and Atlantic salmon flies. This type of hackle are from rooster saddle part and are used for may tiers to make beautiful woolly buggers flies and bass flies.
For a while more and more tiers used these feathers for making beautiful saltwater shrimps! The hackle works fantastic well in water and another important aspect is that is cheap compared with traditional heron feathers used for same reasons.
The Strung feathers are used for tails, wings, throats, collars and palmered hackles on larger flies. The colors are beautiful:shiny, bright and pure!
